Medical Care Print

Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD students who happen not to be covered by healthcare otherwise, are entitled to full healthcare coverage by the National Health System.

In addition, all students travelling abroad through mobility programmes are covered by the European Health Insurance Card, a free card that gives them access to medically necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in any of the 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, under the same conditions and at the same cost (free in some countries) as people insured in that country.

The card is issued by the national health insurance provider, in this case the University of the Peloponnese, which will also cover all incurred expenses.
