The maximum duration of study in a four-year undergraduate program (8 semesters) is 12 semesters (8+4). This applies from the academic year 2022-23.

Part-Time Study

Students eligible for part-time enrollment include:

  • Employed students working at least 20 hours per week (with proof).
  • Students with disabilities or special education needs.
  • Athlete students who are members of registered sports clubs as per paragraph 3 of Article 76 of Law 4957/2022.

Eligible students must submit an application to the Department's Secretariat at the beginning of the semester. Each semester counts as half (½) of a full semester, and students may only enroll in half of the regular semester's courses.

Suspension of Study

Students may request a study suspension by applying to the Department's Secretariat for a period not exceeding two (2) years. This can be done once or in parts, with a minimum suspension of one (1) semester.

During the suspension:

  • Student status is paused, and participation in any academic activity is not allowed.
  • Within the n+2 period (4+2 years for a four-year program), students retain their student status and benefits such as:
    • Free meals (subject to eligibility criteria).
    • Free textbooks via the EUDOXUS system.
    • Students pass (only for first-degree students).
