Laboratory of Policies for Education, eLearning, Knowledge Diffusion and Innovation

The Laboratory of Policies for Education, eLearning, Knowledge Diffusion and Innovation of the Department of Social and Educational Policy, School of Social and Political Sciences, University of the Peloponnese, was established with Government Gazette 5140, Issue B’ 869/25.02.2022.

The purpose of the Laboratory is to serve as the scientific body of the Department of Social and Educational Policy, supporting both basic and applied research, as well as the development of scientific knowledge in critical and current scientific fields related to all forms of education (formal, non-formal, distance education). Specifically, the goals of the Laboratory include the research, study, analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs in the following interdisciplinary areas:

  • Education Policy
  • Lifelong Learning Policies
  • eLearning and Distance Education
  • Human Resource Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship
  • Digital Literacy, STEM Education
  • Diffusion of Knowledge and Innovation, Smart Development
  • Digital Transformation and Advanced Digital Technologies

Additionally, the Laboratory is tasked with addressing the educational and other needs of the Department in these knowledge areas.

The Laboratory for the Evaluation of Health Policies, Technologies, and Behaviors at the University of the Peloponnese is a scientific body for applied research, study, and the development of scientific knowledge in health-related fields. These include health policies, reforms, and decision-making processes, democracy, patient empowerment, the economic functioning and management of the healthcare system, the evaluation of new technologies, the strategy and management of healthcare units, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the analysis of health behaviors.

Laboratory of the Study of Gender, Inequalities, and Discriminations

The Laboratory of the Study of Gender, Inequalities, and Discriminations at the Department of Social and Educational Policy, School of Social and Political Sciences, University of the Peloponnese was established by Government Gazette 4153, Issue B' 2967/10.06.2022.

The main purpose of the Laboratory is to serve as a scientific body for the Department with the aim of studying, analyzing, and researching issues of discrimination, equality, and the study of gender and gender identity.

Specific objectives of the Laboratory include analysing:

  • The various forms of inequalities, discrimination, and exclusions in the social and education context.
  • Ways to address and combat inequalities and discrimination.
  • The ideological and value systems that legitimize inequality and discrimination.
  • The role of the state and institutions in reproducing and combating inequalities and discriminations.
  • The importance of gender equality in all sectors of social, political, cultural, and economic life and the elimination of gender-based discrimination and inequalities.

Through in-depth research and the analysis of inequalities and various forms of discrimination, the Laboratory aims to conduct research, produce scientific knowledge, publish and issue scientific studies, and raise awareness within the academic community regarding issues of inequalities, discrimination, and gender differences.
