The Department has a dual scientific field of reference, covering the distinct yet closely related disciplines of Social Policy and Educational Policy. The Departmental identity and objectives are shaped by interdisciplinarity, complementarity, the integration of theory and practice, and the shared mission of Social and Educational Policy.
The Undergraduate Program follows a common curriculum for all students during the first two years, characterized by its interdisciplinary nature. Core compulsory courses cover scientific fields such as Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Law, History, accompanied with introductory courses in Social and Educational Policy.
In the third year, the curriculum is divided into two specialized tracks:
- Social Policy
- Educational Policy
The chosen specialization is explicitly stated in graduates' degrees, enhancing both the distinct identity of the Department and its degree, as well as the career prospects of its graduates.
